To be honest i expected more from Kanye…

German fashion brand MCM (Mode Creation Munich) was founded in 1976 in Munich but now is headquartered in both South Korea and Switzerland. Known most for their luxury leathers, the brand has released an impressive men’s collection for the 2012 Summer & Spring season.

Consisting of travel cases, bags, shoes and more, the SS2012 MCM line retains its signature monogram pattern and adopts some more muted and digital camo colorways as well.  Check the 2012 SS men’s line preview below and view MCM’s full line of accessories for him and her – HERE!

The man behind the lens is famed photographer Steven Klein, who uses a background of old Italian movie posters to set the scene. Could it be that the designers watched the quintessential 80s movie Pretty in Pink for inspiration, because some of their models are channeling the character “Ducky.”

The shoot is definitely reminiscent of the 80s, but with a sultry D&G twist. Images feature androgynous models sporting blazers, pleated trousers, and Boy George hats intermingled with feminine beauties in print frocks. Sequins, cheetah print, stars, lace, fur, and pumps with bobby socks dominate D&G this season. Standout pieces include an emerald green sequined dress and star print flowing dresses, which are the perfect embodiment of the 80s. Merging 80s infused fashion with Italian flair, this season, Dolce & Gabbana is written in the stars!
